Spacing

Each content element provides the ability to individually adjust the vertical spacing before and after the element – without any CSS knowledge.

Adjusting Spacing

Open the content element for editing.
Go to the "Appearance" tab.
Under "Top spacing" and "Bottom spacing", select the desired spacing size.

Available spacings

Label	Description
Default (Standard)	No additional spacing (default value)
Extra Small	Minimal additional spacing
Small	Small additional spacing
Medium	Medium additional spacing
Large	Large additional spacing
Extra Large	Maximum additional spacing

When to adjust spacing?

Typical Use Cases:

Move thematically related elements closer together
Create a visual separation between sections without using a divider element
Add more whitespace before important calls to action (CTAs)

Note

Use spacing sparingly and consistently. Too many different spacing values can make a page feel cluttered and visually inconsistent.

Keep spacing consistent across all pages

The TUM Corporate Design defines standard spacing values to ensure a consistent appearance. Only adjust spacing when it is necessary for content-related reasons.
