Important! box
A highly visible box for critical or urgent notices. In the TUM design, it is displayed with strong visual emphasis to attract attention.
Info box
A more subtle box for additional information or tips - less urgent than the "Important!" box.
Contact box
Designed specifically for contact information such as name, email address, phone number, and postal address.
Content with box
A simple box that surrounds the content with a border. It is suitable for additional information or quotes.
Overview: Which Box Should I Use?
| Box Type | When to Use |
|---|---|
| Important! Box | Warnings, critical notices, deadlines |
| Info Box | Tips, explanations, further reading links |
| Contact Box | Contacts, contact details |
| Content with Box | General emphasis, supplementary information |
Important
Do not forget to maintain the correct heading hierarchy, even within boxes. An H2 heading inside a box must logically follow an H1 heading in the content structure, even if the box appears visually distinct.
See the page “Headings” for details.
