Delete pages

If you want to permanently remove a page from your website, delete it via the List module. Deleted pages are initially moved to the recycler and are only permanently removed automatically after 400 days.

Delete a single page

Open the List module
In the page tree, select the parent page under which the page to be deleted is located
Click the trash can icon next to the page
Confirm the security prompt by clicking Yes

The page will disappear from the page tree immediately.

Delete multiple pages at once

Open the List module
Select the parent page in the page tree
Check the boxes next to all pages you want to delete
Click Delete selected
Confirm

Note

This method saves time when you want to remove many outdated subpages at once.

Accidentally deleted? Recovery

If you have accidentally deleted a page:

Contact your editor-in-chief
Provide the page name and, if possible, the page ID
Editors-in-chief can restore the page from the recycler

Please note that restoration is no longer possible after 400 days.

Important note on maintenance

Delete pages regularly instead of just disabling them: Disabled pages remain in the page tree and clutter the backend. Especially for time-limited content (past events, expired offers), make sure to delete them consistently.
