Recycler

The Recycler allows you to restore content that was accidentally deleted. When you delete a page or a content element in the backend, it is initially only marked as “deleted” — not permanently removed. This makes it possible to undo mistakes.

Retention period

Deleted content is retained in the recycle bin for 400 days. After that, it is automatically and permanently deleted.

Restoring content – step by step

1. Click on the Recycle Bin icon in the module menu
2. In the page tree, select the page where the deleted content was located
3. Set the search depth (Depth):
   • Choose a specific depth (e.g., 1 or 2 levels), or
   • Select Infinite if you are not sure where the content was
4. Optionally filter by record type (pages, news, page content, etc.) or select All record types
5. Check the box next to the item you want to restore
6. Click Restore
7. Then also restore the associated file references (if available)

What can be restored?

• Pages – complete pages, including all subpages (depending on the selected depth)
• Page content – individual content elements
• News – deleted news articles
• Other records – depending on the installed extensions
