Module lists from TUMonline

This page describes the specific procedure for embedding the module list of one or more organizational units from TUMonline into a TYPO3 page using the CurlContent extension.

The list displays the module titles in alphabetical order, each with a link to the corresponding detailed information in TUMonline.

Preparation: Obtaining the Organization ID from TUMonline

Before you can embed TUM MemberList, you need the Organization ID of your organizational unit (referred to in TUMonline as “pOrgNr” or “PORGNR”).

1. Go to TUMonline. Important: Make sure you are not logged in.
2. Click “People and Responsibilities”.
3. Search for the desired organizational unit and click its name.
4. Copy the ID that follows pOrgNr= or PORGNR= from the URL in your browser’s address bar.

Embedding module lists - step by step

1. Open the Page module and select the target page.
2. Click “+ Create content” → “Special” section → “Insert Plugin”.
3. In the “Plugin” field, select “CurlContent”.
4. In the “Data source” tab, choose “TUMonline: Modules for one or more organisations” under “URL preset”.
5. Enter the previously noted Organization ID(s) in the “Parameters for preset” field. If you want to include multiple organizational units, separate the IDs with commas.
6. In the “Processing” tab, select “TUMonline: Module catalog for organisations” under “XSL File”.
7. Save the content element.

Additional options: XSL parameters

The following parameters are available in the "Parameters for this XSL file" field:

Update caching

As with all CurlContent applications, the data is automatically refreshed from TUMonline every 10 days by default.

To force an immediate update, use the lightning bolt icon (“Clear cache for this page”). This clears the page cache and immediately retrieves the latest publication data from mediaTUM.

English version

The CurlContent element must also be translated for the English page, just like any other content element.

1. In the Page module, switch to the Languages view.
2. Click “Translate” for the CurlContent element.
3. The English copy automatically inherits the Organization ID(s) and parameters. No further translation is required, as the examination dates are retrieved directly from TUMonline.
4. Enable the English element (turn its visibility on).
