Embedding audio files

Audio files are embedded in TYPO3 using the "Text & Media" content element. The audio player is displayed directly on the page, allowing users to play the audio file in their browser.

Uploading audio file

First, upload the audio file using the Filelist module:

1. Open the Filelist module in the module menu.
2. Navigate to the desired folder.
3. Click "Upload File" and select your audio file.

Embedding audio file - step-by-step

1. Create a new "Text & Media" content element.
2. Switch to the "Media" tab.
3. Click "Add media file".
4. In the file browser, navigate to the uploaded audio file and select it.
5. The audio file will appear in the media list.
6. Save the content element.

The user's browser will automatically display a native audio player, allowing the audio file to be played directly on the page.

Using multiple audio files

If you embed multiple audio files in a single content element:

Arrange the audio players vertically (one below the other) rather than side by side. On smaller screens, the audio player cannot be resized in width and height, so side-by-side players may overlap.

To ensure a vertical layout:

1. Set the number of columns to 1 (default setting).
2. Do not specify a width or height.

This ensures that the audio players are displayed correctly on all screen sizes.
