Order pages
The order of pages in the page tree also determines the order in the frontend menu. If you rearrange pages in the backend, the menu order in the frontend will change accordingly.
Way 1: Drag & Drop in the page tree
The most intuitive method — simply drag and drop.
- Click and hold the page name in the page tree
- Drag the page to the desired position
- Release the mouse button
Hint
With drag & drop, you can not only move pages within the same level, but also change their hierarchy level (e.g., promoting a subpage to a main page).
Way 2: Arrow buttons in the List module
For step-by-step repositioning within the same level.
- Open the List module
- Select the parent page in the page tree
- In the workspace, you will see all subpages with arrow icons
- Click the up arrow or down arrow to move the page step by step
Way 3: Move function
For precise positioning with a clear overview.
- In the List module, click the move icon next to a page
- An overview opens with arrow options for all possible positions
- Click the arrow at the desired target position
Way 4: Cut and paste
For moving pages over longer distances in the page tree.
Cut the page:
- In the page tree, click the page’s icon
- Select Cut from the context menu
Paste the page:
- Navigate to the target position
- Click the icon of the target page
- Select Paste after or Paste into
Note
The same principle also applies to content elements within a page - they can be sorted, cut, copied, and pasted in the same way.
