General information

Here you will find some general information about pages in TYPO3.

Opening Page Properties

To open the page properties:

Click the icon to the left of the page name in the page tree
Select Edit from the context menu

or:

Switch to the Page module
Click the pencil icon in the header of the workspace (Edit Page Properties)

Tabs in Page Properties

The page properties are divided into several tabs:

Tab	Content
General	Page title, alternative navigation title
SEO	Title and description for search engines
Appearance	Layout selection (with/without right column)
Access	Disable page, hide from navigation
Categories	Assign page to a category

Overview of Page Functions

The following functions are available for each page in the List module:

Function	Description
Edit	Open page properties
Disable	Hide page in the frontend
Move	Change position in the page tree
Delete	Move page to the trash
Preview	Display page preview in the frontend
Info	Show page information
Version History	View change history
Create New	Create a new subpage
Copy	Duplicate page
Cut	Move page to clipboard

Important

Regularly delete outdated or no-longer-needed pages. Simply deactivating them is not enough – the backend quickly becomes cluttered. Especially for time-limited content (e.g., from past semesters), you should consistently remove pages that are no longer required.
