Module bar

The module bar is located on the left side of the backend. It is your starting point for all TYPO3 work. Use it to select the area of the system in which you want to work.

Page module

The Page module is your main workspace as an editor.

Here you create, edit, and arrange content elements on existing pages.

List module

The List module is used to create pages and manage records.

You can use it to create new pages, rename or move existing pages, and manage records of all kinds.

Important

In the Page module, you edit content within pages—not the pages themselves.

In the List module, pages are created and maintained.

View module

The View module displays a preview of the selected page as it would appear in the frontend.

Here you can review pages before publication - even hidden pages can be displayed.

Filelist module

The Filelist module is the central file management tool.

Here you can upload, organize, and make images, PDFs, and other files available for use on pages.
