Working with pages
Pages are the foundation in TYPO3. This chapter will describe all the actions related to pages that are possible. Additional settings, such as visibility, can be made in the page properties.
General Information
You can access the page properties via the Edit page properties icon (Image 1 No.3). Here you will find settings such as "Page Type," "Page Title," "Appearance," etc. (Image 2):
- General Tab: In most cases, only the Page Title is used to name a menu item. If an Alternative Navigation Title is given, this name will be displayed as a menu item in the front end. The Page Title refers to the name used in the backend and in the tab title of the front end.
- SEO Tab: Here you can enter the Title and Description, which will appear in search engine results.
- Appearance Tab: Here you can choose to hide the right column, if desired.
- Access Tab: Here you will find settings to deactivate a page or to prevent a page from being displayed in the menu bar.
- Categories Tab: Here you can select and assign your created categories to the page.
