Side tree
The page tree is the part of the TYPO3 backend that displays the hierarchical structure of the managed website. All pages currently created on your website are displayed in a tree that can be expanded and collapsed.
The icon in front of each page indicates the type of page.
- Page Type "Standard": If no additional options, such as Page visible off, are set, this page will be displayed in the frontend navigation bar. Here, one or more content elements can be embedded.
- Option Page visible = disabled: this page is not visible in the frontend.
- Option Page enabled in menus = disabled: this page will not be displayed in the frontend menu bar. However, it can still be accessed, for example, through a link in a content element.
- Page Type "Shortcut": This page is a redirect to another page within the same website.
- Page Type "Folder": This is where pages, content elements, and news can be stored. These items are not displayed in the menu bar and are usually accessed through links.
- Reloading the page tree (only the middle column): the display of the page tree will be refreshed.
