Adding the TUM MemberList

Requirement

For the TUM MemberList to fetch data from TUMonline, the staff list "People & Responsibilities" must be available in TUMonline. You can find out how to check for this list on the next page.

If the staff list "People & Responsibilities" is missing or if individuals are not present in the list, please contact the TUMonline user administrator for your department. Instructions on this topic can be found in the WIKI.

  • Preparation: Obtain the "Organization ID" from TUMonline
  • Integrate the TUM MemberList
  • Plugin Option: Group Mapping
  • Plugin Option: Template
  • Plugin Option: Link members
  • Multiple TUMvCards for one Person
  • Update the TUM MemberList
  • English Version of the TUM Memberlist

Preparation: Obtain the "Organization ID" from TUMonline

For the TUM MemberList, you need the Organization ID ("pOrgNr" or "PORGNR") from TUMonline. You'll find out how to locate this on a separate page.

Integrate the TUM MemberList

Image 1: Select Plugin
  • Create a new content element (Image 1 No.1).
  • Select the "TUM MemberList" under the Plugin tab (Image 1 No.2 & 3).

Image 2: Enter Organization ID
  • Enter the Organization ID ("pOrgNr" or "PORGNR" from TUMonline) in the field (Image 2).

Plugin Option: Group Mapping

With the "Group Mapping" option, you can combine different TUMonline groups into a new group, rename groups, or exclude certain groups. The existing groups can be found in TUMonline under “Persons & Responsibilities”.

Image 3: Group Mapping

In "Group Mapping," the following always applies:
new (own) group name = existing group name from TUMonline

To combine multiple groups (separate group names with ";"):
All = Leaders; Secretary

Groups not yet used in "Group Mapping" can be referred to with "?":
Remaining = ?

Once you use "Group Mapping," you must specify all groups that should appear on the webpage, including those being transferred from TUMonline without changes:
Research Assistants = Research Assistants

Lines beginning with "#" will be ignored and can be used for comments and notes:
# Renaming the Leadership
Leader = Leadership

Plugin Option: Template

Under Template, you have the option to select the layout of the TUM MemberList (Image 4 No.1). Examples can be found on the next page.

Additionally, you can choose further options (Image 4 No.2).

  • images: Portrait images from TUMonline will be displayed (if they are made available for anonymization).

Plugin Option: Link members

Image 5: Plugin Options / Link members

In the Link members tab (Image 5 No.1), you can link the names of the people displayed in the TUM MemberList:

Method 1 (preferred): People’s names should preferably be linked to… (Image 5 No.2)

  1. "...a personal page on this website with a matching TUMvCard plugin":
    The link goes to a page within the website featuring the "TUMvCard" plugin of the respective employee (follow the link for information on further settings). If no TUMvCard exists, the link will go to the business card in TUMonline.
  2. "...the person’s business card at TUMonline": This links the names of the employees to the business card in TUMonline.
  3. "...nothing (no links)": The names of the employees will not be linked.

Multiple TUMvCards for one Person

Image 6: Category "PAGE:TUMvCard-xxx"

If you have multiple TUMvCards for the same person on your website, the TUM MemberList needs additional information indicating where the desired TUMvCard is located:

  • Select the category "PAGE:TUMvCard-xxx" in the TUM MemberList plugin (Image 6 No.3). This category has already been created.
  • You must also assign this category to the page where the desired TUMvCard is located (under page properties).

Update the TUM MemberList

    • Click on the page where the plugin is located.
    • Click on the top right corner on the lightning bolt icon Clear Cache for this page.
